Frequently asked questions
What day are the races on this year?
The 2019 Skerries Road Races are on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of July. Qualifying takes place on Saturday and racing takes place on Sunday.
How much is it to attend?
The cost of attending the race weekend is €25. Under 16s go free.
For this you will get a race programme and wrist band on entry which gives you access both days. You will be allowed access all of the grand stands on the course and you will also be allowed access to the riders paddock where you can meet the riders, get photographs and autographs.
Can anyone attend a road race as a spectator?
Yes, absolutely anyone can attend a road race. We encourage everyone to come to the Skerries 100 whether you are a seasoned race fan or you are curious to see what all the fuss is about. Children are very welcome to attend too.
How do I get a ticket?
We don't pre sell tickets or passes, there will be collectors at every entrance to the circuit so no matter where you approach from you will meet someone selling the pass and programme.
How will I know where I am allowed to watch from?
We have marshalls at every post all around the circuit. They will direct spectors into safe viewing areas, and they will not allow anyone to stand anywhere that could be dangerous. These guys are dressed in orange jump suits so you will not miss them!
Do I need to bring food or can I buy it there?
You are more than welcome to bring a picnic or a packed lunch. However there is no need. We have several food vendors around the track selling burgers/chips etc. There is also an ice cream man on site. The paddock is where you will find the main food van and there will also be clothes and race merchandise on sale in the paddock as well.
Are there toilets at the races?
Yes there are toilets dispersed around the circuit and race paddock.
Is there anything else I need to know?
The main thing to remember is that this is motorsport and safety is paramount. So it is very important that you keep off the road during races and obey the marshalls instruction at all times. The roads are closed during the races and are under the control of Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club.
We recommend that you bring water and sun cream in case there is hot weather.
We hope that you have an excellent day at the Skerries 100 Road Race 2019!
